Thatcham is a prosperous town situated approximately 60 miles west of London, 19 miles west of Reading, 26 miles east of Swindon, 29 miles south of Oxford and 18 miles northwest of Basingstoke and 4 miles East of Newbury.
The town benefits from good road communications, being located on the A4 with good links to the A339, A343 and just 7 miles south of Junction 13 of the M4 Motorway, which is accessed via the A339 onto the A34 bypass. Junction 12 of the M4 motorway is approx. 7 miles East.
The A34 bypass in turn provides excellent access to Winchester and the M3 to the south and Oxford and the M40 to the north.

Both Thatcham, Newbury and Basingstoke are located on direct railway lines to London.
